The Hypnotist Was More Evil Than Frankenstein

Don't you all agree that the ruthless hypnotist was more evil than Baron Frankenstein himself?

Just bought this DVD today and LOVE it to bits! It now fully complements my collection of the Hammer Frankenstein movies.

True classics of the genre. No stupid, irritating teenagers bonking all the time, and samey plots, which so badly ruin horror movies today. Hammer horror was horror it SHOULD be.

I concur. Zoltan was a real greedy and hateful bastard. Peter Woodthorpe gave a perfectly pompous performance as this arrogant and unlikable cad. Moreover, I consider the older horror movies to be tons better than most current fright fare; the scripts had more substance to them and the characters were usually mature adults instead of the obnoxious gaggle of bratty kids found in modern horror pictures.

Nobody does W.C. Fields singing "Mama Told Me Not to Come" better than Paul Frees.

Wells said! I totally agree! Too many horror movies these days are spoilt by irritating, forever-bonking teenagers. No atmosphere, too samey, and just generally unenjoyable.

The Hammer movies were the BEST, as were all the other older horror movies. Period.

I read one bad review in a book about this film, but I gave it a shot and loved it. Cushing was great in everything he did, but I agree with the OP the hypnotist was more evil and Frankenstein was misunderstood.

Agreed. The hypnotist was a rotten, greedy s.o.b. and very well played by Woodthorpe.

The poor creature was in bad shape and I felt sorry for him .
The Hypnotist was using him for his revenge . I like to think it was
his second try after the Curse creature .

UH...DUH???no really???was he??? I MISSED that! I think you're mothers
calling you webmaster.

I felt bad for the monster because Zoltan was so horrible to him. He was being taken advantage of because of Zoltan's selfish desires and didn't even realize it. He was very cruel. I do wish that more horror movies like this were made today.

I've been waiting for you, Ben.

Of course he was. BUt then that wasnt hard to accomplish considering that frankenstein himself isnt actually evil.
