Thanks Incitatusthehorse and chadport! In all my viewings this is the greatest movie I have seen that is not available on DVD, which is a shame given the ridiculous amount of poor films and bad TV series that have already been released on DVD. PLEASE PUT A SPECIAL DVD EDITION OUT!!!

shareThey did. The restored version was shown at last summers Tribeca film festival. I contacted them to find out who owned the damn thing and they were singularly unhelpful.

"Anne of the Thousand Days" has just been released in Scandinavia in a rather inexpensive (SEK 129 = USD 16.27) widescreen edition with optional subtitles in the Scandinavian languages and English.I ordered it today and cannot report on the quality, but almost anything on DVD is better than Pan/Scan VHS.

This person needs to learn a little more about that period, to put it mildly. "Becket" was well received upon its release and I know many people who loved it.

shareGood going. I have been WAITING for this to come to DVD forever!! This excellent film is right up there with LION IN WINTER. Two of the BEST actors going at it on screen, giving their best performances. Why is it taking sooooo long???? Any update on the status of this coming to DVD soon????
