MUNSTER GO HOME movie

MUNSTER GO HOME is not as good as the best MUNSTER episodes but it's a very entertaining movie and I feel fans of the show don't give it enough credit. It has a lot going for it, almost the full cast of the show, written by the main writers of the series and directed by someone who helmed several episodes, a chance at last to see the Munsters in color, excellent cinematography, several good gags (some of them a little too racy for a tv show at the time), excellent guest stars in Terry-Thomas and Hermonie Gingold, and fairly good script. The only thing that really doesn't work is boring Marilyn romance subplot, Debbie Watson as Marilyn (just too different from Pat Priest and Beverly Owen, for that matter) and Robert Pine as her British boyfriend (very bad accent too, couldn't they have found a British actor?) and the "climax" that doesn't seem credible although the actual final scene is fun. I wonder if even Pat Priest could have made that dull storyline work.
