Did the Munsters and Addams Family ever appear together?

No, they never appeared together.

During their original run, the two series were rivals of each other. Each was produced by different production companies and aired on different networks. In fact ABC only gave the green-light to The Addams Family in direct reaction to CBS's announcement of The Munsters. Producing a crossover episode between the two series was probably the last thing on the minds of the producers and the networks.

It'd be nice if something could be arranged; an animated Halloween special or comic would be nice.

There is an article in the Nov. 7, '16 issue of "Closer" magazine that talks about both shows and interviews Butch Patrick ("Eddie") and Felix Silla ("Cousin Itt").

For me, it's like Highway to Heaven and Touched by an Angel. Always felt the shows just screamed "crossover", but (nevermind the issues) unfortunately never happened. That said, always wondered that too.
