What mentions of Mayberry does Gomer give that tells us new things about Mayberry that we don't learn from The Andy Griffith Show itself? I think this line of trivia would be of great interest to TAGS fans.
shareI remember a few times that Gomer mentioned a girl named Ida Carrington who apparently was some sort of semi girlfriend in Mayberry. But I don't ever remember her being mentioned on TAGS.
shareOh, I just found out that Goober collects stamps. In the episode where Sarge's adopted daughter from Korea visits him she sends Sgt. Carter a letter with a Korean stamp on it and Gomer asks if he can have it to send back home because his cousin Goober collects stamps. LOL

shareLOL...It really caught my attention when Gomer mentioned that Goober collected stamps, because when I see a foreign stamp or an odd looking U.S. commemorative stamp I collect it too.
P.S. I hope Sgt. Carter's adopted daughter decided to stay in the U.S. That new dictator they have in North Korea definitely sounds like bad news.
