'Car For Sale' episode

Toward the end of this episode, where the car "explodes", notice how close the car was in proximity to the flagpole? I'm surprised the ignited flames didn't cause the flag to catch fire. If it did, the fire could've caused widespread damage. Didn't the director catch or notice this? The fire could've spread to the nearby huts as well. Also, is there really such a thing as sucking gas out of a car orally?

One certainly could get the gas to come out of a tank the way this episode did it. I have seen this done for various things. If I remember correctly, science class in school taught us how to do this. Of course, you just get the liquid started flowing and then remove the hose/pipe from your mouth before the liquid enters your mouth.

My mother used to do this procedure for certain liquids in the hospital laboratory where she worked.
