He played Lieutenant Anderson on the show. He died on March 10, 2006. Here is his IMDB page:

Sometimes when you watch an old TV show it is a bit of a downer when you realize that many of the actors are no longer with us.

I nearly forgot that Frank Sutton passed away from a heart attack in 1974. He was only 50 years old.
