Is Barbra stuart

Is Barbra Stuart the character of Miss Bunny? Wasn't Miss Bunny in more than 4 episodes of Gomer Pyle? Also in which season did Miss Bunny first appear on Gomer Pyle?

"Ethel Thayer". It sounds like I'm lisping, doesn't it? Norman Thayer

She was in way more than four episodes. She first appeared in season 1, but not as Miss Bunny! She played a character called the "Dragon Lady." I think that is correct. Barbra Stuart was a very good looking woman! I'd like to see what she looks like now.

Yep it was the Dragon Lady. She was interviewed on one of my local tv stations, you could tell she was older and a tad bit heavier. But actually she didn't look that bad.

Correction she does look pretty old. Anyways here's a video of the interview with Barbra (Bunny) and Ronnie (Duke) of how they look today: http://www.tricitiesblogs.com/cablecountry/comments/hey_duke_miss_bunn y/

Hi Jim,

Tried several times to play this, but everytime I click on the link, it is a different report. First it was a sports story, then the Midday Minute.

I clicked directly on "Hey Duke and Miss Bunny", but the interview never loaded.

Try this one: http://cablecountry.tricitiesblogs.com/cablecountry/. It should be the 4th or 5th one down the page. That one is working for me.

Thanks Jim. That was really good. I wish they would include things like this in the GP Boxsets they have been putting out. Thanks again.

reply

No problem. Yeah they should be putting stuff like that in, I bet they would do it, it's just the studio is too lazy I guess.

Ronnie Schell is so cool! Too bad he isn't doing more audio commentaries on the DVD's. Would be nice if Barbara Stuart would do some as well. Barbara does look older now, but is still attractive. You can clearly tell it is Miss Bunny. How old is this interview?

Remember in Season 1, Ronnie did a audio commentary and said that he would've liked to have dated Barbara, but that she was already dating someone.

Awhile back I had read somewhere that Barbara had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and sadly she died not too long ago. I remember when I was a kid I used to wonder how Sgt. Carter and Gomer could get a couple of girlfriends as pretty and attractive as Bunny and Lou Ann. : )

Barbara Stuart passed away in 2011 at 81 years old.

I knew her best as Tom Hanks' character's mother-in-law-to-be in the 1984 movie "Bachelor Party".
