The show has aged pretty well

Sure the jeeps, quonsets, etc. look 1960's but the characters have come through comparatively well versus other shows from the 1960's and 1970's. The best part is I can still draw a deep laugh at the actions of the characters. I watched "The Price of Tomatoes" recently online and I could see the scenario play out today just as it did when it first aired.

Not surprisingly, things get a little lost on dealing with females, perhaps for obvious reasons. Gomer's naivete.

I'm watching Carter's Dear John Letter and it's approaching predictable. I avoided the previous episode of Gomer writing anonymous letters for Carter or to Carter, whatever it may have been; just no reason to see it.
