Does anyone know the episode where Gomer winds up at a house party full of teenagers, dancing with a teenage girl? Could you imagine this happening today, a man in his mid-20s hanging out with (underage) teenagers? I guess it was a more innocent era back then.
shareDefinitely a different era then. Also, based on when Gomer first shows up on TAGS we are supposed to think Gomer is around age 20 based on Andy's comments in "Man in a Hurry." That was probably easier to digest as people due to poor diets, stress, smoking, etc. looked old for their age in comparison to today. Honestly, I never really thought to question Nabor's actual age when he played Gomer. Archie and Edith Bunker were in their late 40's when All in the Family started and many people today think they look more late 60's age-wise in the second season onward.
