Jill Foster

Jill Foster is my fave "Betty." She was married to (BW) writer Bernard Slade, and played the
role various times between seasons two and five. She was actually FUNNY in the role, and
added a lot. Love her in "Solid Gold Mother-in-Law" when she sniffs the perfume,
Hallucination, then spies Endora's framed photo flying behind Darrin, and mutters..."I-I
think "Hallucination" is a great name for it!"

I believe her last episode is season five's "The Midus Touch."

Just saw her in a scene with her finding out her birthplace was wrong always stuck with me. All that was a big mind F that Darrin played on her.

I don't think that's Jill Foster. You're mixing her up (I think) with Alice Backes, who first played one of the nosy mothers
when she and Gladys, and another woman bring over "the welcome wagon."

Omg I was remembering that episode in color. Well it still was a mind trip on her.

Jill Foster is actually quite memorable on the show. She's blonde, blue-eyed, plain, but perky. I love
season four's "Cheap, Cheap" when Darrin reads her the riot act about reusing scratch paper, and
she's says (upset, but irritated) "Yeeees, Sir." Then Darrin walks away, and her eyes well up. She
says, "NO....I won't cry. HE'll say I'm wasting WATER!"

Probably the most memorable appearance by Foster is in "One Touch of Midus." Darrin and Betty
join up for "The Fuzz" business, leaving Larry feeling out of the picture!

Just saw recently that she passed away in March of this year. I had been wondering whatever happened to her recently. Gbennett, she is my fave Betty too. She's the only one who seemed to be written with or acted with much depth, and she is funny. I wish she had continued past season five.
