21 Chester Place ~ The mystery behind 'The Real Addams Family House'

If you are an Addams Family fan and are interested in the real house that inspired the look for The Addams Family’s home (64-66 TV sitcom), starring John Astin as Gomez and Carolyn Jones as Morticia – Then you’ve come to the right place.

21chesterplace.com is a site I made dedicated to the "Real House" that inspired the look for the home of the 1960's TV show “The Addams Family”, (and in a sense, was The Addams Family house exterior wise). This house was used in “The Addams Family” 1964-66 TV show’s 1st Episode/Season 1 for the exterior footage in the opening scene, and in the background during the show intro (Where Gomez is filing the gates). It was also used in publicity photos for the show with John Astin (Gomez), standing in front of the house in different spots and poses.

If you are an Addams Family Fan and loved the Addams House, please check out the site dedicated to 21 Chester Place ~ House History, Photo Gallery, Fun Facts, even Video Footage of the actual house (which is gone now).

I made this site because I love the house so much, and wanted to contribute and help keep the memory of this great house alive.
Hope you guys like it ~ Enjoy!

Sadly, Los Angeles lost this and a lot of it's other beautiful architectual history during that time. LA once had the reputation of being "the disposable city" because they bulldozed so many of their historic buildings to make way for new construction.

A heart can be broken, but it still keeps a-beatin' just the same.
