anybody have an idea where i could pick up the soundtrack to this film?

Agreed, i'm looking for the song that plays in the main menu of the Criterion DVD, but needless to say i have no idea of the name of the song, and i hardly think i could find it that easily.

Hard to find and expensive

check out the link and scroll down, they have Nikkatsu soundtrack collection from the 60's & 70's

Finding a soundtrack for a movie as old and obscure as this is impossible.
