You have to start something up about this film. One of the most underrated and underviewed films of all-time in my opinion. The clip in "The Dreamers" will hopefully get it some more exposure, but what does everyone out there think about this film?

shareI recently saw the film and thought it was brilliant even though the dialouge was overly silly at points ("Nymphos!"). I do have a question: Why was this film initially banned in the UK?

just saw it.a very good movie,solid like a greek tragedy (infact there are many references in the movie about this...)but actually not the great masterpiece i expected it to be.i've read this movie is,together with the red shoes,one of martin scorsese's fave.
