Does anyone think that Dave Chappelle saw "Shock Corridor" and got inspiration for his Clayton Bigsby character from this old Sam Fuller movie?

A black white-supremicist. What an amazing idea to consider.

Crash, I would give Dave a bit more credit than that.

By the way, self-deprecation is as old as time. There are Jew-hating Jews, and the like. I think the concept was not original by a longshot. I admire Fuller for pulling it off.

I thought of Clayton Bigsby as well when I saw it. Nothing against Dave Chapelle or Sam Fuller. Both pull it off well. What is good comedy a lot of the time but horror?
