The State could not pull the trigger on Teri Schiavo. She was essentially sentenced to death by default.
If Teri Schiavo had been a mass murderer, she would have received a fair trial, and if given the death penalty, she would have been swiftly electrocuted, gassed or given lethal injection. In the old days, a murderer could be hanged or shot be a firing squad. Any one of those methods would be more humane than starving someone to death. However, the State would be "pulling the trigger".
Instead, they just let her starve, thus making her death "voluntary". Teri Shiavo simply chose not to rise out of her coma and fix herself a sandwich.

So you must be THAT guy who has everything so figured out that you cannot explain it all properly and so must resort to talking in riddles.
Why do i say riddles? Because you talk about a controversial case which by itself does absolutely nothing to counter the fact that the state can kill people just fine and use that case as some kind of evidence that the state cannot directly kill people. And you go on to say "she would have been swiftly electrocuted, gassed or given lethal injection..." had she been a mass murderer which is a direct contradiction to your own claim.
Then you paste to a link where the text within states
"Voluntary does not mean that the tax laws don't apply to you."
It's only voluntary to the extent you can prepare and file your taxes yourself. YOU MUST STILL PAY THEM.
If you really want to educate the world about things, you really should learn to put together a cohesive argument first. Just saying...
