The best animated intro ever was in my opinion the intro to "revenge of the Pink Panther". Better than the first by far.

"Revenge" has that awful discoized Mancini, though I think "Trail" does something with Pac-Man graphics even more retching. The credits for "Strikes Again" are funniest, but the glossiest, cleverist, and best mix of animation with music is "Revenge," where the huge stretch limo pulls up to the premiere and the Pink One strides out like Superfly with Clouseau in hot, vain pursuit. The arrangement for that one is the best, I think (they are different for each of the movies except "Shot In The Dark," where the Panther theme is not used.)

Interesting question. I immediately thought of Casino Royale and Around the World in Eighty Days (but to be fair the best part of the latter was the end credits.)

I think this animated title credits are the MOST IMPORTANTS in movie history, because is the birth of one of the most beloved animated characters.

Yes it is great credits, But i think a shot in the dark does have the funniest credits. And it has a great opening theme to it, almost reminiscent of those ultra-cool spy movies.

Id have to agree - A shot in the dark always had my favourite credits and i think i might even prefer the theme in that film to the standard Panther theme! I love the way that, in all the panther films, theres a little flourish in the music when Mancinis name appears.

It's definatly the best credits sequence in the Pink pantehr series. Returns and Strikes again were juts parodies of old movies, this was actually about the credits.

Yes I agree. Best in the series and best ever. For me the "Trail" credits are the second best in the series (best part about that film), and "A Shot in the Dark" third.
