The princess sings? Is it on the Mancini soundtrack?

the name of the song is 'it had better be tonight' but I know nothing about the italian version the english version is in the soundtrack album..enjoy it.......

also the song is not sung by claudio cardinale 'the princess' it is sung by Fran Jeffries...She was so sexy at that time wasn't she?

There's a newer version of this song (2002)on a CD called Buddha Bar V. I've had this cd for a couple years but had never seen the original Pink Panther movie. I recognized the song instantly but had no idea it was old! The newer version is on disc 2 of Buddha Bar V and the artist is Mondo Candido.

Before I ever watched Pink Panther I had this record, The Best of Henry Mancini. That song was always my favorite. It's a little faster than the one that is throughout the movie. The tempo and version is similar to the version sung at the masquarade party at the end of the movie.

It's not the Princess, it's Fran Jeffries, and the English title is: "It had better be Tonight".

This song crops up in the Edwards/Sellers/Mancini mashup 'The Party' a few years later, as an instrumental played by the house band.
