I still find it odd that though it was supposed to have Lytton as the main character for the sequels, Peter Sellers name was in the tile credits first. Maybe they changed it after the test-screenings?

I would, if The Pink Panther were solely about the Inspector, but the film is too great an ensemble picture to value only the scenes of one character. The five leads play off each other so well and add so much to the overall movie that to view only Clouseau's scenes (while Peter Sellers does have the standout performance), weakens the picture for me.
