Fran Jeffries was GORGEOUS!

Fran Jeffries, the singer who performed the song "Meglio Stasera," was quite a babe, wasn't she? In "Sex and the Single Girl," she played Tony Curtis's girlfriend (who happens to be a professional singer -- now there's a stretch). In that picture she actually got to say a few lines as well as sing. It's also worth noting that she posed nude for Playboy magazine twice.

She had one of the most perfect derrieres I've seen on any woman. Blake Edwards must certainly have been aware of that fact, since the very first shot of her focuses on her lovely backside!

Mmyes, I recall those hips being quite deadly.

Instant fail words: overrated, major flaw, plot hole

I'm a (hetero) girl and I quite agree. The "Meglio Stasera" scene is one of my all time favorites-from any movie. She is perfect.

In the words of the commodores: She's a brick----house

The GORGEOUS Fran Jeffries turns seventy-five years of age, tomorrow, May 18th. Hard to believe, isn't it? Yes, I owned BOTH copies of Playboy Magazine, and she DID own a Perfect Derriere (in MY opinion, that is)!

I finally decided to come to this forum specifically because every time I watch this movie I enjoy this scene and the song and Fran Jeffries more. She is indeed mega hot. When she turns sideways in that outfit her midsection practically disappears. I can't believe that I actually like such a sixties, feel good pop song just asking to be turned into elevator music, prominently featuring an accordion, no less! But it's great! Of course Henry Mancini is a genius, but still....

I was actually born the year the movie was made, so I grew up watching the later sequels and had never seen this one or "A Shot in the Dark" til much later. Interestingly, I only realized when I read in the OP just now that Fran Jefferies was in Playboy that this movie was NOT the first thing I'd ever seen her in.... A friend's father had a rather extensive collection of 60's and 70's Playboys which we discovered and now that you mention it I think I recall being... favorably impressed, even compared to so many other attractive women. Her and Jo Ann Harris.

I even enjoy watching her backup dancers. They're hilariously light in their loafers.

Capucine does nothing for me, Claudia Cardinale is gorgeous, but Fran Jeffries has her beat.

EDIT: Wow, on further research it appears the first time I could have seen her in Playboy was 1977 making her 40! I wonder if I'm thinking of someone else or if she looked that good at 40?

EDIT2: Actually another site says 1971.... That sounds more like what I remember datewise.
