What is it about the animated, silent feline pink panther, that you find son unique and appealing ?

this movie isn't a cartoon. the cartoon was made years later. in these movies, the pink panther is actually a diamond

That he tries to get thru life and sometimes succeeds and other times doesn't.

The way that it slinks about and suddenly appears from behind something. It gives that impression of elusiveness of a character that is hard to catch.
