*face palm*.. 22 years later i finally understand..

I remember when i was six i was a HUGE pink panther fan (the cartoon). I remember one night the announcer on the TV saying "Next, the pink panther movie" I got so excited lol! I persuaded my mum to let me stay up late and watch it! I was curled up on the sofa waiting.. a FULL movie dedicated to Pink! The first bit was boring... but i waited and then Pink finally made an appearance for the credits. Then for the next hour and a half I was sat there..bored stupid and a little angry! "How dare they fool me into thinking this was about the pink panther?!"
As the years went by i some how figured that the movie was just using the name of pink to make some money. Then as i got older i thought "They must just be basing it from the detective from the cartoon (who i hated)"... I never watched the movie again... until tonight and the penny finally dropped.. The cartoon came from the film and not the otherway around! *face palm* 22 years of confusion finally solved!

Did anybody else think this when they watched the movie as a kid??
