I just love this track! It's so beautiful! I first heard it in Casino: Scorsese uses it a lot in that movie. I don't know why it's so appealing to me, but now I feel compelled to watch Le Mepris just so I can hear this track again.

shareI would completely agree with you, while watching this film the track made me relaxed and I loved it. This is not my normal taste in soundtracks, but this one is one of the best. This is my first Godard and I think that I will soon see another, great film.

sharethe theme was written by georges delerue. he scored many of truffaut's films. as mentioned below, scorsese used the theme in casino as well. you can dl it using winmx or soulseek searches. i have a version that begins with the opening credits of contempt and ends with the first silence, containing the dialogue. it runs about 10 minutes.
