shareAnd "McLintock" has a couple of charming little shout-outs to "The Quiet Man". When Mclintock comes home drunk, he calls out to Katie "Woman of the House!", which is what Sean called Mary Kate in "Quiet Man". And when Katie snaps "Do you think you're the first man who ever tried to play patty-fingers with me?" to the Governor, it calls back to Barry Fitzgerald in "Quiet Man", who tells the courting Sean and Mary Kate "No patty-fingers if you please!".
