If anyone ever finds out where to get a copy of it let me know. I looked on Amazon and its freakin a hundred or something odd money. Thanks if anyone can help me.

www.ioffer.com. People take the movie and put it on DVD - perfect quality - i got my copy there for like $10!!! Well worth it!

It's coming on TCM tomorrow...either tape it and transfer to a DVD, or record it on DVD..all it will cost you is the price of a disc or a tape. You'll get an excellent copy from TCM.

That VHS for over one hundred dollars is a copy from TV..a rip off! Do your own!

Yup, and the TCM symbol machine has been off all weekend... a rare thing. They were prepping a brighter, more annoying symbol last week, and just like 18 months ago they crashed the code... it will be fixed soon, no doubt.

I will be capping it directly to DVD today. If anyone would like to barter and trade, simply contact me.

Where I live, in the Los Angeles area, TCM went HDTV on Sept. 9..we got a different channel to watch. Everything looks good to me.

I've already got this on DVD, from recording it a few months ago from TCM.

I got the rare film Mr. Wu from this site after seeing a link on another IMDb board:

I saw Love With the Proper Stranger in their selection, too, so I'm gonna order that soon, too. I believe they're basically all DVR recordings. But Mr. Wu worked/played fine, so I imagine the other films will, too.

"Love With the Proper Stranger" is included in a 2008 Region 2 boxed DVD set entitled "The Hollywood Collection - Steve McQueen, Man on the Edge." If you can play Region 2 discs, this might be a solution. New and used copies can be gotten pretty reasonably from Amazon.UK.

Try ebay. There is someone selling the DVD there.
