The skeletors let them leave
When the skeletors done spawning, there was enough time for all the argonauts go back to their boat, it was not necessary leave 3 men behind, they were wasted for nothing and those skeletors were useless

shareWhat is odd is the skeletons are being spawned to stop them from stealing the fleece. But King Aeetes and the skeletons don't seem to care that Argus (Argos) has the fleece and calmly returns to the ship with it while Jason and two others hang back and fight. You would think with so many skeletons, some could have breezed past the 4 fighters and tore Argus a new one.
shareWell, when you're a skeleton you have no brains in your skull so its kind of hard to think of the best thing to do.
shareIf the magic that animates them makes them able to grip weapons and move around without tendons and more importantly, makes them smart enough to intelligently chase (and kill 2 of ) the 3 men, I expect them to be smart enough to not simply ignore Argus (Argos) since he has the fleece.
Most importantly, I didn't just say the skeletons let them leave. I said KING AEETES and the skeletons. The fault really lies with the king. He simply orders the skeletons to kill instead of ordering them to bring back the fleece. You could argue they blindly followed orders, as you would expect a good brainless skeleton to do.
Well, there is something in what you say.

And I stood where I did be; for there was no more use to run; And again I lookt with my hope gone.
