Special thanks to the movie Jason and the Argonauts

My earliest interest and subsequent love for fantasy, action adventure and special effects was due to Jason and the Argonauts. I remember seeing this movie when I was about 8 years old. I was mesmerized by the special effects scenes expecially when the crew encountered Talos. I must admit that I didn't know the name of the movie until many years later but It had a profound and long lasting affect on me. This movie is a touchstone for my love of movies and will have a special place in my heart. I watched it again this past weekend as comemoration of its 50 year anniversary.

Side note: Sorry to hear the death of the man without whom this movie would not have been possible. Ray Harryhausen. You will forever live in the hearts of your fans. They are many including myself.
