Some things I didn't like in the story . . .

Long journey. That stuff runs out no matter how prepared you are.

Yes and those certain crew members (including Hylas) are crushed to death when Talos falls on them. Your point?

to escape down the rocks and get into their ship. They just stood there
waiting for the next action on them. As it was, count the number
of seconds that the villain began throwing the Hydra's teeth at the ground
until the first one sprang up.'

Good for them. Medea is leaving her home forever. She needs to reflect on that.

There was supposed to be a sequel. Didn't happen. Too bad, would have been awesome.
