I just saw there is something in the works for 2015. No details.
I believe some movies should remain as they are and this is definitely one of them.
I wish Hollywood would get off the remake/sequel craze.

The new one will have lots of off-color humor, I'm sure.
But I saw this movie yesterday and realized one of the things I've always hated about it are its poor special effects, such as the obvious use of back-projection. The scene where Dick Shawn is chasing Thomas and Berle on the highway has some terribly phony footage. They are obviously in fake cars in front of a screen showing the view from a speeding car. I made audiences groan when I saw it and it ruins the effect of the scene for me today. So the new film will at least have some CGI to make more effective chases.
I can see where the new movie easily could be a delightful new version or a disaster.

I would like to see it. And I certainly hope the main characters are more racial diverse this time. California was too white. And to get with the times, the money under the big W will be a Walmart instead of palms trees at a state park
