Actor Marvin Kaplan dies at 89

Wonderful comic actor, probably best remembered for "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, World." Marvin and Arnold Stang played a pair of gas station attendants whose gas station is destroyed single-handedly by Jonathan Winters.

So according to my calculations, the only remaining cast members of the movie still with us are Carl Reiner, Nicholas Georgiade, Barrie Chase, and Jerry Lewis.

I best remember Marvin Kaplan as the voice of Choo-Choo in the cartoon TOP CAT, alongside MMW star Arnold Stang (Irwin's mate Ray) and Allen Jenkins (an uncredited policeman).

May his soul rest in peace.

I knew him from the TV show Alice. I guess there are no more surviving cast members now. Oh, well, that's the way it is.

There are the 4 mentioned in a post above, Carl Reiner, Nicholas Georgiade, Barrie Chase, and Jerry Lewis. But none of them had any kind of significant parts, just cameos.

Jerry Lewis' cameo was only about 5 seconds long.

Of the 4 that are still alive the two most famous are in their 90s (Reiner (94) & Lewis (90)) and the other two are both 83.

I don't know what they have to say. It makes no difference anyway. Whatever it is, I'm against it.

John Clarke, the chopper pilot, is still alive.

What about the little boy who told Phil Silvers that he knew another way to get out, and Silvers ended up in the river.
Anyone know what happened to him. The kid must be in his early 60's by now...
