Phil Silvers & Don Knotts

Really makes me wish they could have made one movie together, like with the "secret agent" angle. One of Phil's great talents was the ability to bowl over some hapless mark, and Don was about as hapless a mark as you could find.

Knots: "I really don't want to get involved".
Silvers: You're not in any danger"!! Lol

These two guys had great chemistry!

One of the absolute funniest scenes in the movie, along with Jonathan Winters ((stuntman) hanging on for dear life to the open door of the swerving taxi making a wild u-turn. He falls into the cab: "Holy mackerel! I almost didn't make it."

In my opinion this is, ironically, Stanley Kramer's best film. He had a real talent for comedy.

I saw this on the huge Cinerama screen in Times Square Easter week 1964. I was always pleased I had seen the original roadshow engagement only to learn here the picture was drastically cut six weeks after it opened.

Nevertheless this was the most memorable moviegoing experience I have ever had. The amazing Ultra Panavision projection and the packed audience howling with laughter from beginning to end. I still have the LP of the music score
