"I'm dealing with [moronic] people!"
In Peter Falk's first scene, he's on the phone ranting about the police. "The cops in this town are morons, retarded! I'm dealing with moronic people!"
When he says "moronic people" it's sounds dubbed in and his lip movements clearly show he's saying "retarded people."
My question is, why would they dub over one instance of the word "retarded" but not the other? In context he's pretty much saying the same thing both times he says that word.
