Please be sure to check your local tv guide for the time in your area. This is an excellent funny movie and Jack Lemmon and Shirley McClain are hilarious. Don't miss this one. The whole movie is good but those first 15 minutes are hilarious with Jack Lemmon.
shareThanks for the alert. I´ll mark it in my calendar. I´ve always wondered why TCM would repeatedly show The Apartment and never Irma La Douce. They only started to show Irma La Douce very recently, maybe my requests had an ear. I´ve been asking them to show it since 2005. I´m glad they finally made the film part of their library. I got tired of watching "The Apartment." The Apartment won 4 Oscars including Best Picture & received 4 Oscar nominations including for best actor (Jack Lemmon) and best actress (Shirley MacLaine). However "Irma La Douce" is also a very good film that has also won an Oscar, 4 other wins & nominations. I just cannot understand why TCM, for such a long time, refused to show only one and not the other. I am glad that they finally gave the audience a chance to see another very good Billy Wilder film.
