What is missing in the german version?

I just learned the german version is 12 minutes shorter. What is missing? Anyone here who can (and want) update the alternate-versions-section?

The US DVD runs 143 minutes, the German DVD runs 137 minutes. So the 6 minutes difference is due to the PAL SpeedUp exactly. Maybe though, there was a theatrical (roadshow) version with an overture?

I just saw Das Mädchen Irma La Douce on WDR Fernsehen. It was just a bit longer than 135 (2 hours and 15 minutes), so 137 minutes is probably the right duration. I don't think there was anything missing!

The voices were sometimes a bit annoying. Especially back in the sixties the germans always shouted so loud in movies. It was very annoying when Irma was screaming at Hippolyte (in the start). I hope in the original dub, she didn't scream so mean that I felt like hiding under my couch.

The IMDB-rating system should be improved by deleting the anti-voters (1-votes and 10-votes)!!

The timing on the DVDs is not what imdb normally gives- it is the run time of the film as shown in the countries noted. Also, unless I have been badly misinformed, when movies (quality transfers anyway) to video/dvd are made, the film is run at the same rate as normal but adjustment is made for the frame rate difference by occasionally duplicating a frame to cover the higher frame rate of the video so a PAL copy and a NTSC copy (SECAM even) will be within a very tiny fraction of the same length (England is on same system - they don't get a different time normally.

I am sorry to say you are worng. The majority of PAL-DVDs includes a Pal Speed-UP.

On the German/French/Italian/Spanish/UK DVD the Film is 137 Minutes long.

The only thing missing in the german version is a part of the wedding.
That part is included (and redubbed) on the DVD.
