sexy

Paul Newman was SO hot in this movie. Holy smokes. I mean the movie itself was spectacular, and it would have been good even without Paul Newman's hottness, but wow him being that sexy sure didn't hurt things. Anyone agree with me?

Wow thanks for the suggestion, I will definitely check out that movie! He was super hot in Hud, but the *beep* thing did hurt his image a little. Hot and *nice* is a much better combination...

reply

yea I agree. He was really sexy.

reply

uh yeah, paul newman was pretty much the best looking person ever back in the 50s and 60s. even though he was in his 30s and 40s, my god, do i ever want to make sweet sweet love to him when i watch this movie or butch cassidy and the sundance kid. i cannot get over those eyes and that smile!!!!!!! i am insane!

reply

how about the housekeeper, patricia neal, that must be the most charming woman that I have ever seen.

reply

I agree with all of you, Paul Newman was DROP DEAD GORGEOUS!! I would take him over Brad pitt, George Clooney, Jude Law... anyday! And on top of everything else, he has one of the sexiest voices I've ever heard! *drools*

If he'd just pay me what he's spending to stop me robbing him, I'd stop robbing him!

reply

amen to all of the above...Paul Newman, especially in this movie, is absolutely smouldering and charming. Even though he's a (excuse the language) cocky bastard as Hud (he plays the role exquisitely), that scene when he's lying on the bed playing with a daisy...my goodness he took my breath away.

reply

Oh yes, that scene on the bed. It was all innuendos but still so darn sexy. I saw the movie once a few years ago and I still remember the way that scene made me blush. Paul Newman was the epitome of sex appeal in his day.

Totally agree with you.

Funny story (maybe apocryphal?). Just after Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid was released, Redford tells the story of walking down Fifth Avenue with Newman. As he tells it, all the women were going absolutely gaga over Newman. One particular woman who passed them acted like she could not believe her eyes when she saw Paul. When she'd passed them by, Redford glanced behind and lo and behold the woman had fainted clean away!

I just saw this movie and he is totally gorgeous. You should also see him in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.
