1st Scene ever to even hint at rape?

There had been scenes before when men wanted to kiss women but were shunned. But when Hud turns off the lights in Alma's cottage, there seems to be more implied. Or did Anthony Quinn trying to seduce Jule Harris in Requiem for a Heavyweight, released a year before give the green light to such scenes?

Also "Streetcar Named Desire" had a big scene in it that hinted at rape, that was in 1951.

"The Birth of a Nation" had a scene that implied rape & that was in 1915.

Hardly. There's "Johnny Belinda" (1948) and "The Story of Esther Costello" (1957). Both involve actual rapes -- and rapes are key plot points.

Outrage (1950), Anatomy of a Murder (1959), Town Without Pity (1961) and Something Wild (1961) all deal with rape quite explicitly and preceded Hud.
