A curious question
In a scene near the end at a pub, one of the characters (Magee perhaps?)talks to a patron, and gets some info on the family. The patron looks into the camera and says "Thank you" huh?
I know the scene you're referring to...I also wondered about that, then I decided that this pub character was TRULY drunk and if "thank you" was the worst thing that came out of his mouth, well that works for me! What do you think?

I guess so. I was thinking more along the lines that the character said "Thank You" to the film makers for letting him be in the film.

Mike, you are on to something there! That could well be it! I have watched this movie several times and the pub scene does tend to stand out in strange and off-beat way. But then again, the man LOOKS to be very intoxicated...so maybe it doesn't HAVE to make sense...or was that the point?
