Roger Corman's Movie
I know that Dementia 13 was filmed after-hours on the same set that Roger Corman was using to film a movie. Does anyone knpw what that movie was? It would be interesting to see it and compare...
Thanks,

Thanks,
Could be The Raven. I know Corman asked Coppola to direct because he had to start shooting for The Raven... Both have Castles...
shareIt was probably "The Terror" with Jack Nicholson. The castle looks similar to the one in "Dementia 13".
shareI doubt it was "The Terror" as that picture was itself an afterthought shot after "The Raven" wrapped.
shareI though the terror as well just watched that one before and there was a lot of talk of reusing sets etc...
shareThere seems to be confusion here. "Dementia 13" was filmed in Ireland using Ardmore Studios and a lot of locations in the Dublin/Wicklow area. The castle is an actual castle - Howth Castle - about 5 miles from Dublin city centre, so it has nothing to do with the castle in "The Raven" or "The Terror".
Some of the cast of Corman's "The Young Racers" are in "Dementia 13", but shooting had finished on that film before D-13 began.
After seeing Coppola's rough cut, Corman got extra scenes involving Simon the poacher filmed by a second unit in the U.S.
I think you are confusing D-13 with "The Terror" which was begun when "The Raven" was finished ahead of schedule using whatever sets were left. Maybe you should try comparing "The Raven" with "The Terror".
Oh ok I stand corrected that's pretty cool, and thanks for the info! I prefer actual places than to a fake studio set, so much better
shareI belive it was THE YOUNG RACERS.
