Are the first 12 'Dementia' films any good?

My real question is if anyone knows whether or not 'Dementia 13' is public domain. I'm guessing it is, seeing there are so many DVDs for it, but I thought I should check.

I believe it is in the public domain, because various small-time labels are selling cheapo DVDs for a buck or two. The subject of your post brought a much-needed smile to my day!

that subj line was hilarious!!! very witty and cool! hey what does "public domain" mean, anyway? WTF?

to quote nell carter, john stossel, and Kit Kat: "Gimme A Break!"

Public Domain means you can use it without paying royalties because of either a lack of rights or no rights at all.

Thanks for the chuckle!
I have it on DVD, got it for buck a few month ago, and am watching it on TCM right now.
Nice Christmas viewing ... ;)

The guy above gave you the result of what public domain means, but not what it actually means.

'Public Domain' means that the copyright filing has expired on the film, and the copyright has not been re-registered. Therefore, it is no longer subject to copyright laws.

Thanks for the laugh. Your post stuck out on the board. I would bet that its public domain since you can download it and stream it various LEGAL places online.

LOL, loved the subject line.

I just saw this last night for the first time on a local cable access show (sort of an MST3K knockoff, it would appear). This is the first time in my life I watched our cable access channel for more than 10 minutes at a stretch. ;-) Anyhow, I'm assuming it must be since they were playing it.

I actually own the only remaining copies of the first 12 Dementia films, and am now selling them as a box set. Please send me $399.95 via paypal and I'll send them to you post-haste.

I haven’t seen the first 12 Dementia films, but I highly recommend the first 8 Plans from Outer Space movies. They set up the 9th perfectly.
