The "rare stamps in plain sight" were used in many shows AFTER Charade.
I'm not positive that Charade was the first movie to use that gimmick, but it made the idea quite popular.
It was not uncommon, expecially in serials to "borrow" an idea almost entirely from an old movie - for example I just saw a CSI:NY episode with Mac with a broken leg peering in his neiborough apartsments.
There is a "miss torso" somewhere, too.
Non evet trying to disguise the origin from "rear window".
And I'm sure that the idea of stamps appeared in a "Murder she wrote" episode, somewhere.
