Top 250

According to IMDb's "true Bayesian estimate", this movie's rating is about an 8.1, which is a higher rating than the #250 movie "Bringing Up Baby", which has a 8.0 rating according to the "true Bayesian estimate". So, in other words, this movie should be in the top 250! Do the math.

That is odd. And I am assuming Bringing Up Baby is in the top 250?
It could be because of how many votes each movie has? Im not sure

Besides IMDBs top 250 is a bit of a joke anyway, dont think too much of it :P

there is an endless list of films that should be on the top 250 by vote and number of votes, and aren't. On the other hand, there are also films that shouldnt be on it at all.

in other words, don't let it bother you... that list is a joke, and a troll's delight.

do do do de da da da

At the end of the explanation of the formula for"true Bayesian estimate" is says "only votes from regular voters are considered" and IMDB does not disclose what criteria is set to define a voter as a "regular voter" to try to prevent anyone from manipulating the system in favor, or against, any particular move.

how do we know whose votes count?...they should put up a page showing us the "criteria to be a regular voter"
