I checked out Charade some time ago because Stan Donan was a customer of mine. For some reason I had never seen it. So, I have two questions about it. Can anyone tell me why the inspector went to the funeral? Obviously he wanted to discover who the murderer was, but he made no effort after that. He did not bother to follow any of them nor even did he interview one of them?

Also, what happened to the appointment book? It was there, then it was missing but they never said what happened to it?

I will take your word for it, at least that explains it. I watched it perhaps twice and then with Stan's narration but did not notice it. I guess I must have gotten up to get some chocolate at that moment.
