'Charade' is immensely enjoyable - due in no small part to the strong chemistry shared by its great stars - but it's also an especially amusing flick. The French police inspector and some of his lines ("Your dentist appointment *has* been changed") just killed me. The miscommunication and misunderstandings littered throughout were similarly comical.

I agree about the wealth of humor in this movie--both generally and specifically, as in this wonderful passage from the increasingly exasperated Inspector Grandpierre:
We use the guillotine in this country. I have always imagined that the blade, coming down, causes no more than a slight tickling sensation on the back of the neck. It is only a guess, of course. I hope none of you ever finds out for certain.
