Charles Lampert stole $250K twenty years ago, so it must have increased in value a lot. Apparently he spent it all on furnishings. (So how was he living if he had no cash? Then, suddenly, he sold everything to get the money back (with no interest). Did he know Dyle and the other three were coming after him?

How long were Charles and Reggie married (since she knew nothing about him)?

I get the impression that it was a brief marriage.

Charles must have known that the others were after him. He might have received death threats and such.
