question about beach movies
Do you know in which of the beach party films Frankie forsakes the surf and agrees to marry Dee-Dee? I would really appreciate some help here since it is really difficult to get all these titles

shareIf memory serves, I don't think Frankie and Dee Dee ever marry.

Sorry to be a hair splitter, but they did get married---at some point anyway, because they were married with two kids in the 1987 reunion movie: Back To The Beach. I know you meant in the '60 series, but I thought I'd drop this in. Take care, Turtleturk PS: Dick Dale and Stevie Ray rocked on Pipeline in Back To The Beach.

I stand corrected...I never saw BACK TO THE BEACH and never realized they were actually playing Frankie and Dee Dee.
shareActually, their names in "Back to the Beach" were Frankie and Annette. Maybe there was some reason they couldn't use the "Dee Dee" name?? So, they sort of played their original 1960's beach characters, but, yet, they didn't....
I guess you'd have to say that, technically, Frankie and Dee Dee never got married....
Good point. Annette was also referred to as Delores in some of the films. Does that mean that she really wasn't Dee Dee in those films as as well. Come to think of it: Was Ken, Ken in the Party movie that he worked for Big Drop (Don Rickles) and didn't like Frankie? Can't recall if went by Ken in that one. In Back To The Beach---Dick Dale played Dick Dale as far as I can recall. Didn't see any Del-Tones though. Saw Dick Dale last weekend in Rochester, NY. He's still rock'n hard @ 70. If you get a chance to go: GO!!! Take care all and whether Annette is Annette, Delores of Dee Dee she's still great in everything----including peanut butter commercials.

I don't remember them getting married in any of the beach movies. I received the entire set of movies for my birthday and I plan to rewatch them closely and report back.
I do remember "Back to the Beach." That's when Annette realized she was ill.
I didn't remember that DeeDee's real name was Delores Del Rio. Half Latina, that's cool.
Why ain't you at the garden party you heathen?
DeeDee/Delores wasn't Delores Del Rio. Frankie said, sarcastically, when he asked if a girl had seen Delores, and she replies, "Delores, who?" Frankie then says "Delores Del Rio, who do you think?" He meant DeeDee, not the actress, Delores Del Rio.
I'll have to watch it again then...
