Releasing questions----

American International Pictures (AIP) released the Beach Party films along with a slew of great films and also started many great careers. One of the greatest books I ever read was Sam Arkoff's autobiography. He started AIP with the director he got rolling: Roger Corman. Jack Nicholson, Scorcese, Coppola, Cronenberg, Michael Landon, Ron Howard (his first directing job) all started at AIP. And that's a short list. Wish they would put out a Beach Party Box Set of DVD's. Actually; I don't recall who owns the AIP library now. Loads of good stuff up through the 70's into the 80's. Don't recall off the top of my head if the first AIP film came out in the late 40's or early 50's.
