The late Harvey Lembeck gave the screen a classic and immortal character, and he and his inept gang are the main reason I still enjoy these flicks. Someone else in one of the reviews said it best-these were the "road" pictures of the 60's for that generation. I think they adlibed half the lines. It must have been great to get paid for doing these.

He was fantastic. I still try to give the Von Zipper finger, and the Vulcan nerve pinch, to people who would remember what they represented.
