Imagine if will, three SONS instead of daughters. Of course it would not be called Petticoat Junction. Do you think that if everything else were the same that the show would fly with guys instead of girls? Something to ponder.
shareI think My Three Sons did ok, but it was a little more family. PJ really relied on three lovely girls, just like GI relied on Ginger and Mary Ann.
shareI was think of more adult sons than on My Three Sons. Maybe they would be good looking hunks and have ladies falling for them. Kind of like how Miss Jane liked Jethro on the Beverly Hillbilles, they would be unaware of their effect of women.
Then consider Bonanza. I sometimes still refer to that as "My Three Sons." Only the youngest, 'Little Joe' [Michael Landon] was really young enough to be Lorne Greene's son. Pernell Roberts ["Adam"] and Dan Blocker ["Hoss"] were both only 13 years younger than Greene.
