Finally ! The very first episode of the very first season, starts the series over the right way. I have my own personal copies of the first 2 seasons, but I can't reall them being on syndication! Thursday June 26th at 6 am eastern time, ME TV starts the series !
shareThe first two seasons were not included in the original syndication package. Viacom, the syndicator, only offered the color episodes to the local stations in the 70s. When TV Land picked it up, they only took the color episodes, too, although it occasionally reran the pilot and "As Hooterville Goes" at election time. Actor residuals for the color episodes had long run out, but not for the B&Ws, and TV Land didn't want to pony up. ME-TV originally only took the color episodes as well, but last November they finally picked up the B&Ws.
