Kate had them dressed up in the same outfits to go into town. I don't recall that being done except for twins or triplets in true life.

I also thought it was funny how Kate used Billie Jo to get the guys to come over to the Shady Rest to become potential guests. She used Billie Jo's beauty as a resource to entice the guests and by telling them, she has tow other daughters at home just like her.

There is an early publicity photo with Sharon Tate instead of Jeanine Riley as Billie Jo (an early casting plan, obviously) with all 3 girls in those same matching dresses.

Having grown up in that era, it was not that uncommon. Mothers would sew their kids clothes a lot, and it was very common to use the same fabric and pattern to dress the kids the same. Poor people, like my family, anyway. Not everyday, but certainly sometimes.
